Mitchell's best friend Angela 15, who was fifteen years old at the time of her fatal accident in a vehicle was also a writer about the experience. Mitchell was unable to cope with the loss and Angela was the source of inspiration for the song Angel that is featured on Mitchell's debut album. The song was featured on her 7th Heaven Episode Nothing Endures But Change and in Chicken Soup for Preteen Soul she also talked about the experience.
